Jilešovice combines a mill that has been rebuilt several times, clearly named landscape areas, and a route connecting several places with Hlučín Lake. The Jilešovice Mill was rebuilt several times over the centuries and no longer serves its original purpose today. It is therefore one of the town’s specific historical references, although its current use should not be equated with its former function.

Culture and History

In the wider regional surroundings of Jilešovice are three specifically named châteaux: Rzuchow - Zameczek, Czernica - Dworek, and Dzimierz - Zameczek. They add destinations associated with the wider regional surroundings to the connection with the town. Each of the three château names refers to a separate property and they are not combined with the Jilešovice Mill or with one another into a single historical site.

Routes and Trails

The Slezská magistrála passes through Mokré Lazce, Háj ve Slezsku, and Jilešovice. From there, it turns toward Hlučín Lake and connects to the Jantarová Trail 5. The section of the Slezská magistrála passing through Jilešovice is 16.7 km long. This figure refers to the section that directly includes Jilešovice.

This should be distinguished from the broader route indication from the starting point of Opava–Malé Hoštice to the Jantarová Trail 5 at Hlučín Lake. This section is 21 km long. The two route figures therefore refer to different sections, even though both include the same connection to the Jantarová Trail 5 at Hlučín Lake. The named places and the lake thus remain clearly distinguishable as fixed components of the respective route.

Natural Area and Landscape

The Jilešovice–Děhylov natural monument is located in the vicinity of Jilešovice on alluvial deposits. It lies in the cadastral area of the municipality of Dobroslavice between Hlučín and Děhylov, on the right bank of the Opava River. The protected area therefore occupies a precisely named location between several places and along a riverbank. The natural monument protects the dusky large blue (Maculinea nausithous).

The landscape features also have their own names and differ in their geographical relationship to Jilešovice. Vinná hora is a mountain in the vicinity of Jilešovice. Těškovice is a hill in the nearby surroundings, as is Ostrá hůrka [Háj ve Slezsku-Chabičov]. The wider regional surroundings of Jilešovice also include Přílet, a mountain. Thus, Vinná hora, Těškovice, and Ostrá hůrka represent the nearby surroundings, while Přílet is assigned to the wider regional surroundings.

Kamenec in Jilešovice

The Kamenec health and accommodation complex is located near Jilešovice. Jilešovice is also home to Restaurace a penzion Kamenec. It offers accommodation, a restaurant, and sports facilities. The reference to the complex’s proximity and the location reference for Restaurace a penzion Kamenec describe two separate geographical relationships.

The Kamenec grounds have a tennis court, a beach volleyball court, and a football pitch. These three facilities are among the sports facilities mentioned there. The same grounds also contain a children’s playground. The playground is named as a separate part of the complex and is not equated with the sports facilities.
