Štáblovice Castle was opened to the public after its reconstruction in 2021. It is located in the centre of the municipality of Štáblovice.
Culture
The Church of St Lawrence in Štáblovice was built in 1603. It contains sandstone tombstones from the former Gothic church; since 2006, it has been protected as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic.
Getting around
A special feature of the castle park is a romantic gazebo surrounding the castle garden. The castle garden is laid out according to the ground plan of the original French garden.
The castle park can be visited free of charge during the stated opening hours. A blue-marked hiking trail also runs through Štáblovice. Cycle route 6221 Radegast Opava also passes through the village.
Transport
The Štáblovice, u křížku bus stop is served by route 241 on the Vítkov–Opava route and back, as well as by route 243 on the Budišov nad Budišovkou–Opava route and back. The Štáblovice, zámek stop is served by route 241.
The railway stop serving Štáblovice is located in the Štáblovický mlýn district on line 314 between Opava and Svobodné Heřmanice. It is approximately 3 km on foot from the centre of the village along the blue hiking trail.
