Hladké Životice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Hladké Životice lies in a gentle valley on the banks of the Husí potok stream. In the village and its immediate surroundings, sacred buildings, historic wayside monuments, waterscapes, and marked cycling and hiking trails combine to create a clearly structured landscape.

Culture and History

The Church of St. Nicholas in Hladké Životice was built as a new stone church in 1686. The Chapel of St. Florian stands at the upper edge of the village in the direction of Fulnek. The village is also home to a sandstone Latin cross dating from 1870, a wooden mission cross from 1912, and the preserved torso of the Liebscher Cross from 1877. The „Michelova kaplička“ Chapel is located in the built-up part of Hladké Životice. The Chapel of St. Agnes and St. Zdislava stands by a linden tree in the direction of Kunín.

Landscape and Nature

The Bartošovický luh Nature Reserve extends across the cadastral areas of Bartošovice, Hukovice, Hladké Životice, and Pustějov. It encompasses the naturally meandering course of the Oder, wetlands, reed beds, floodplain meadows, and wetland forests. Around Hladké Životice, remnants of the embankments of the Životice ponds have also been preserved. These remnants invite visitors to take walks for exploration and relaxation.

Cycling and Hiking Trails

Cycle Route 6131 runs through Hladké Životice. It follows third-class roads as well as local and purpose-built roads; the surfaces are paved or otherwise surfaced. The cycle route is suitable for all types of bicycles.

A blue-marked hiking trail runs through Hladké Životice. It is described as an easy route through the Oder Valley between Jistebník and Suchdol nad Odrou. A hiking route of the Klub českých turistů starts at Hladké Životice railway station and follows the blue-marked trail towards Bartošovice.
