Dolní Václavov: Holiday Apartments and Houses

The Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary in Dolní Václavov has been a protected cultural monument of the Czech Republic since 1958. The present-day Baroque building was constructed in 1754–1755 on the site of an older medieval wooden church. Inside are richly carved altars with white-painted finishes and characteristic gilding, complemented by ornamental frescoes on two arch bands between the vaults of the nave.

Culture and History

The municipal area of Václavov u Bruntálu is also home to a historical detail: a Baroque sandstone statue of Saint John of Nepomuk stands there on a simple granite pedestal. A chronogram dates it to 1735.
