A green-marked hiking trail runs through Krasov. The Krasovský kotel Nature Reserve lies north of Krasov. A marked hiking trail runs through the area: from Krasov, it follows green markings to the Pod Lysou trail junction, then continues northwest along yellow markings via the Krasovský kotel trail junction and past the summit of Kozí vrch.

Nature and Trails

The Krasovský kotel Nature Reserve serves to preserve a species-rich meadow ecosystem with endangered and declining plant species, in particular Gladiolus imbricatus. Another long-distance route is the Krnovská padesátka, a 50-kilometre long-distance hiking trail.

Culture and History

The Baroque filial church of St Catherine in Krasov dates from 1677 and features rich stucco decoration. The church was extensively reconstructed between 1867 and 1878; it is an immovable cultural monument. Another church was built in Krasov in the 1930s and is referred to as the Czech Brethren Church.

Below the church in Krasov stands a war memorial dedicated to the victims of the First World War. It was attributed to the academic sculptor Josef Obeth (1874–1961).

Surrounding Landscape

The mountains of Kopřivná and Vinice are located in the immediate vicinity of Krasov. The surrounding area also includes Rudná Mountain, the ruins of Cvilin, and Góra Dąbrowiec Mountain. In the wider regional surroundings of Krasov are the ruins of Edelštejn and the Studánka Church.
