Hlinka: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Osoblažský výběžek Nature Monument encompasses the cadastral area of Hlinka. This nature monument protects the fire-bellied toad (Bombina bombina). Route E in the Osoblažsko region also runs through Hlinka and is suitable for children as well as Nordic walking enthusiasts.

Culture and History

The Hlinka memorial to those who fell in the First World War was created by stonemason Ferdinand Schroth and sculptor and teacher H. Strauss. Hlinka Fortress burned down in 1626 and was nothing more than a ruin by 1648. St. Valentine’s Church in Hlinka has foundations dating from the 17th century, was rebuilt in the 19th century, and was declared a cultural monument on 2 August 1993.

The surroundings of Hlinka include Klasztorne Wzgórze, Kobylica, Długota and Młyńska Góra, each of which is a mountain. In the wider regional area around Hlinka are Moszna - Zamek and Dobra - Zamek, both castles, as well as the ruins of Edelštejn and Cvilin.
