Karlovice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Karlovice lies in the valley of the Opava River and in the Jeseníky Protected Landscape Area. The village has a tradition as a resort with favorable climatic conditions.

Nature and Trails

The “Historií a přírodou Karlovic” educational trail has 13 stations, as well as branches leading to Mořské oko and Adamov. The Karlovice-sever protected area safeguards a unique, well-preserved population of indigenous Jeseníky larches.

Culture and History

Kosárna is a protected technical monument dating from 1600. Kosárna houses a local museum dedicated primarily to forestry, with exhibitions about Karlovice and notable figures from the municipality. Kosárna has been closed since May 18, 2026, due to construction work and will remain closed until further notice.

Karlovice is home to the Church of St. John of Nepomuk, a single-nave Baroque building constructed in 1777–1779 on the site of an older chapel. There is also a Baroque house dating from 1745.
