Záskalí is located entirely within the Ještěd Nature Park. The surrounding area of Záskalí features the mountains Maršovicky vrch, Ještěd, Černá Studnice and Rozsocha.

The excursion “Through the Ještěd Nature Park” leads from Hodkovice nad Mohelkou via Žďárek, the Javornická Chapel, Javorník and Záskalí back to Hodkovice nad Mohelkou. It follows forest paths and reveals a lesser-known side of the Ještěd Nature Park. The Javornická Chapel offers a view of Liberec and the Jizera Mountains.

Cycle route 3044 connects Liberec, Dlouhý Most, Jeřmanice, Záskalí and Hodkovice nad Mohelkou.

Valdštejn is a church in the vicinity of Záskalí. In the wider regional surroundings of Záskalí lies the Chapel of the Holy Trinity, a church.

The chapel with the statue of Saint John of Nepomuk is located in Záskalí. The Chapel of Saint Anne is located in Záskalí, north of Hodkovice, on the road to Liberec. During the existence of the association of people born in Hodkovice, people connected with Hodkovice, and friends, all three chapels in Záskalí were renovated.
