Arnultovice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Arnultovice is particularly interesting because of its combination of local history and glassmaking: the settlement was founded in the 14th century by hunters and charcoal burners. During the boom in glassmaking in the 18th century, Arnultovice began to merge with Nový Bor.

History and Culture

In the cadastral area of Arnultovice, there were at least around eighty glass-finishing workshops and smaller glassware dealers during the last third of the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century. Another facet of Czech glass art is represented by Jitka Kamencová Skuhravá: she is a recognized Czech glass artist and designer who specializes in her own studio glasswork and monumental light sculptures for modern architecture.

The Church of the Holy Spirit is located in the cemetery grounds of Nový Bor–Arnultovice. Concerts, exhibitions, and church services open to the public are held there. The interior of the church reflects the art of the local glassmakers. There is also a monument to the fallen of the First World War in front of the Church of the Holy Spirit.

Landscape

Borská skalka is a basalt rock on a hill above the E442 road. There are five climbing routes and one variant at Borská skalka; all are equipped for sport climbing with bolts or pitons.

Klič is a mountain in the immediate vicinity of Arnultovice, as is Malý Buk. Zelený vrch and Špičák are mountains in the area around Arnultovice.
