Martinice V Krkonosich: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Martinice railway station dates back to 1871 and is now a cultural monument. The Martinice Railway Museum is located directly in the station building; the entrance is in the passenger waiting room.

The exhibitions cover Martinice railway station, signalling and safety equipment, the railway in the surrounding area, and the local railway line 042 from Martinice v Krkonoších to Rokytnice nad Jizerou. The Pojizerský Pacifik railway line also runs from Martinice v Krkonoších to Rokytnice nad Jizerou and is a convenient way to take trips into the mountains. Martinice railway station is also the highest railway station on the line between Trutnov and Chlumec and on the regional line to Rokytnice nad Jizerou.

A stone wayside shrine monument stands in the cemetery of Martinice; it was declared a cultural monument in 1998 and subsequently restored.

Educational Trails

The Nádraží Martinice educational trail is 1.5 kilometres long and has nine stations. It is marked in yellow and is one of the official hiking trails of the Club of Czech Tourists.

Forest and Water

The U Mlejna forest educational trail begins near the wooden Martinický Mill. At seven stations, visitors can learn more about the development of the forest, forest management and the importance of water in the landscape. The trail runs along the Slané bahno and Na bubně ponds.
