Marked trails lead from Pelešany to Valdštejn Castle and through Hruboskalsko to rock formations and viewpoints.

Trails and Routes

The signposted Maloskalský okruh III cycling route leads through Pelešany and onwards to Valdštejn Castle. After the castle, the cycling loop continues to Hrubá Skála Chateau and from there onwards to Kopicův statek.

The hiking route from Pelešany to Valdštejn Castle begins at the car park near the village and follows a green-marked trail to the castle ruins. The road to the castle leads through Pelešany to a car park below the castle; from there, the castle can be reached via a 700-metre-long green-marked footpath. A green-marked route towards Pelešany and Valdštejn also branches off via a narrow, uphill path to Kalvárie.

Rocks and Viewpoints

Hlavatice is an isolated sandstone rock formation at the end of the Hruboskalský ridge. The rock is over twelve metres high, and its platform lies at an altitude of 380 metres above sea level. The summit offers panoramic views of Turnov, the Jizera, the Ještěd ridge, Bezděz Castle, Ralsko and the Kozákov ridge.

Hlavatice can only be reached on foot via the red-marked Zlatá stezka Českého ráje hiking trail. This leads from the Turnov město railway stop towards Valdštejn Castle. Janova vyhlídka is the first viewpoint on the route.

Hruboskalsko has marked trails for recreation and romantic walks.
