Bukovina U Čisté: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Bukovina u Čisté is a valley settlement surrounded by picturesque landscape and nature that have been relatively little affected by human intervention. In its upper part, the settlement borders Studenec; to the east, the valley continues to the municipality of Dolní Kalná.

Nature and townscape

The highest parts of Bukovina u Čisté offer views of the Krkonoše Mountains. Notable natural features include the Hekovy lime trees: three broad-leaved linden trees with trunk circumferences of 445, 460 and 490 cm.

Architecture and history

A number of traditional log cabins have been preserved in Bukovina u Čisté. Two areas south of the stream are considered particularly noteworthy because of the picturesque, now rare and undisturbed integration of log cabins and farm buildings into the terrain; this layout is typical of a foothill settlement.

Cabin No. 20 in Bukovina u Čisté is a listed monument. The village also has a statue of Saint John of Nepomuk dating from 1776. The first written mention of Bukovina u Čisté dates from 1386.

Culture and events

The nature area in Bukovina u Čisté was established in 1980 and served as a venue for social and cultural events such as concerts, children's days and gatherings of former residents. The Přírodní areal includes a hard court used for locally significant tennis, volleyball and fistball tournaments. The Přírodní areal has a capacity of 1,000 people and can be rented.

The cultural centre in Bukovina u Čisté hosts fire brigade and children's balls, concerts, discussion events, dances and wedding celebrations.
