Luka combines local history with a protected oak tree, cultural attractions in the surrounding area, and a detailed description of a cycle route. Historical traces, distinctive mountains, and small religious monuments come together to create a varied picture of the village and its surroundings.

Culture

The history of property ownership in Luka is shaped by two dates: from 1698, part of the historic landholdings belonged to the Doksy estate, while the rest had already belonged to Doksy since 1553. The ruins of Starý Berštejn are also located nearby. In the wider surrounding region are the churches of Kaple Nejsvětější Trojice, U Svatého Vojtěcha, and Svatý Jiří.

A particularly detailed historical feature is the cross on the road to Okna. During its restoration, damaged parts were repaired, a new cross was installed, and pictures were placed in the niches. The cross stands approximately 600 m beyond Luka, between two large lime trees on the right-hand side of the road to Okna. The niches in the pedestal contain images of the Virgin Mary and the Resurrection of Christ.

Nature

One of the distinctive natural features is the protected Dub v Lukách oak, which was first placed under protection on 8 February 2005.

Several mountains are located in the surroundings of Luka: Berkovský vrch, Nedvězí [Dubá-Dražejov], Lysá, and Malá Buková. Thus, the immediate surroundings feature various named landscape landmarks alongside the village’s cultural and historical attractions.
