Uitwa: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The Church of St. Vitus in Útvina was built by the Milevsko builders’ lodge in the first quarter of the 14th century on a hill on the northeastern edge of the municipality; its first written mention dates from 1354.

Culture and history

St. Vitus is a single-nave Gothic church with a three-sided presbytery and a rectangular tower on the north side of the presbytery. The church is occasionally open to visitors.

Přílezy features a well-preserved, compact historic settlement around the village green; the Church of St. Bartholomew and a cemetery are also part of the townscape. The late Romanesque church is a Cistercian-type church and was built in the second quarter of the 13th century. Its first written mention dates from 17 September 1354. It was converted to the Gothic style in the 14th century and remodelled in the Baroque style in the 18th century.

A crucifix on a stone pedestal stands in front of the Church of St. Bartholomew. The original Classical cross at this location was replaced by a new one at the beginning of the 20th century. The grounds of the Church of St. Bartholomew are accessible.

The mountains Hůrka, Prachometský kopec, Třebouň and Homolka are located in the surroundings of Útvina.

Cycling route and observation tower

Local cycling route no. 2232 Bečov–Toužim–Nečtiny runs through Útvina. It is 39 km long and moderately difficult.

The Třasák observation tower stands on the southern edge of the municipality of Útvina. The hexagonal, three-storey tower is 12.5 m high; its stone ground floor is complemented by a structure made of impregnated spruce wood.
