Culture and History

UPAK in Březová produces porcelain whose products bear the designation of origin PIRKENHAMMER. A factory museum is associated with the Pirkenhammer porcelain manufactory in Březová. UPAK invites interested parties to get in touch or visit the facility in person.

Starý mlýn is a half-timbered building in Březová constructed in 1898 and was built as an excursion café and restaurant. A commemorative plaque in Březová marks the site of a former forge where Peter the Great forged a staff and a horseshoe in 1711.

The Church of the Name of the Virgin Mary was built in 1893 in the Pseudo-Gothic style at the foot of Zámecký vrch in the centre of Březová. The church contains 14 valuable oil paintings of the Stations of the Cross dating from the mid-18th century.

Circular route 8 leads from Poštovní dvůr through Březová to the terminus of the Karlovy Vary–Březová bus line.

In the municipality of Březová, you can visit a valley reservoir on the Teplá. The Teplá continues to Karlovy Vary and flows into the Ohře in the city centre.
