Mlázovice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Mlázovice lies on the western edge of the Podzvičinsko Basin, on the ridges of Chlumy, Mlázovický Chlum and Hořický Chlum. The market town includes Mezihoří, which is surrounded by deep forests crossed by the Javorka River.

Culture and History

The Church of the Holy Trinity in Mlázovice is a branch church and was formerly a parish church. It is a state-recognized monument and was rebuilt in 1725 on the site of a wooden church first mentioned as early as 1360. Its largest bell was cast in 1593; the clock comes from the dissolved Pavlánů Monastery in Nová Paka.

The Mlázovice spa also forms part of the town's history: it operated from 1898 under constant medical supervision. It was closed in 1953 as part of the reorganization of the healthcare system. Its spa buildings, including the hotel and guesthouse, subsequently served as the basis for a social care facility for older people.

Mlázovice Square has a regular rectangular layout dating from 1540, when Mlázovice was granted market-town status, the right to hold annual markets and a coat of arms. A Marian column from the Hořice School of Sculpture was erected in its center in 1901, followed by an obelisk commemorating the victims of the First World War in 1928. Mlázovice and Šárovcova Lhota are also connected by a memorial stone dating from 1817, which has been protected as a cultural monument since 15 August 2020.

There used to be twelve iron-rich springs and peat deposits in the vicinity of Mlázovice, connected with the town's former spa tradition.
