Konecchlumí: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Hradiště Hůra is an early Iron Age hillfort. The site covers 0.75 hectares and is protected by a rampart and a ditch. The smaller site of Hradiště Hůra can be reached via the red-marked trail heading east towards the summit of Hůra.

Culture and History

The former Tvrz – sýpka fortress was converted into a granary and is located in a farmyard in the northern part of Konecchlumí. The complex includes an imposing two-storey building with remnants of Renaissance sgraffito on the façades, as well as an enclosing wall with arcade arches.

On the sandstone tumulus of Vilém Konecchlumský, the lion gazes towards Prague. The Church of St Peter and Paul contains 14 Stations of the Cross panels by Vladimír Komárek; they were consecrated on 31 March 2001.

Nature and Landscape

Konecchlumský mokřad, a protected wetland, lies in the northern part of Konecchlumí. It consists of a cascade of eight ponds that provides a habitat for numerous plants and animals. The Konecchlumský mokřad educational trail serves the residents of Konecchlumí as a place for recreation, learning and gaining knowledge about nature.

Přivýšina is a landscape feature considered a mountain in the area around Konecchlumí. Tábor is also considered a mountain in the area around Konecchlumí.
