Rytírova Lhota: Vacation Apartments and Holiday Homes

Rytířova Lhota is located in the Český ráj Protected Landscape Area. The village combines a documented history with paths through the countryside and notable destinations in the surrounding area.

History and Culture

The origins of Rytířova Lhota are dated to the reign of the last Přemyslid king, Václav III. At the beginning of the Hussite unrest, the settlement had eight house numbers. After a clash with the Hussites, almost the entire settlement of Rytířova Lhota burned down, and Jindřich Hrzanovský was expelled. At the same time, Rytířova Lhota is regarded as a typical locality of folk architecture in the Český ráj.

Landscape

The Podtrosecká údolí Nature Reserve is home to 146 species of higher plants, including 18 specially protected species. The Střelečská hůra hill, Valdštejn Church, and Přivýšina hill are located near Rytířova Lhota. Tábor hill lies in the wider regional surroundings of Rytířova Lhota. The Na Vartě hill [Libošovice-Rytířova Lhota] is located in the immediate vicinity of the village.

Trails

The Trosky–Kost route runs through Rytířova Lhota between Pleskotský mlýn and Podkost. It is just over 16 km long and is described as difficult. The Kost–Trosky hiking route leads from the Bílý rybník signpost in Prokopské údolí to Rytířova Lhota and then downhill to Pleskotský mlýn; it is just over 14 km long and moderately difficult.

In 2021, a field path lined with an avenue of fruit trees was created between Libošovice and Rytířova Lhota.
