Káranice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The statue of the Virgin Mary in Káranice dates from 1968. It stands on a stone pedestal dating from 1912 at a road junction in western Káranice; together with the cemetery cross, it was purchased through a citizens’ collection.

Culture and History

In front of house no. 6 in Káranice stand a stone cross and a bell tower. The memorial to the victims of both world wars dates from 1955 and stands at a road junction in the centre of Káranice.

A sandstone boulder with a wrought-iron cross commemorates the people from Káranice who fell on 6 May 1945.

Transport and Routes

The Káranice railway station building was constructed in 1924 on the Prague–Hradec Králové main line. Káranice railway station is integrated into the integrated transport system. At Káranice railway station, passenger processing takes place on the train rather than at the station.

The Káranice passenger stop opened on 20 December 1893. Cycle Route No. 4199 also passes through Káranice.
