Dobruška lies in the foothills of the Orlické Mountains. Historical sites and specific options for hiking, cycling and swimming in an outdoor pool offer different ways to explore the town.

Culture and History

The Dobruška Regional Museum operates five permanent exhibitions in six buildings. The main exhibition also includes a Jewish ritual bath, a mikveh.

A guided tour of the Dobruška synagogue includes panels on the history of Dobruška’s Jewish community. Following the major fires in Dobruška in 1806 and 1866, the synagogue acquired its present Neo-Gothic appearance.

The tower of Dobruška Town Hall houses museum exhibitions on the town’s history and the law of blood jurisdiction.

Hiking and Activity

The 3-kilometre-long educational trail “Dobruškou s Františkem Kupkou” leads through Dobruška. As a circular route, it runs from Šubertovo náměstí to Archlebovy sady and symbolically ends at the municipal cemetery.

Water and Sports

The outdoor swimming pool in Dobruška has a 50-metre swimming pool. Visitors to the outdoor pool can use the beach volleyball and nohejbal courts.

Orientation

Dobruška railway station is located on railway line 026, including the Opočno pod Orlickými horami–Dobruška section. There is a bus stop for scheduled services near the railway station.
