Zbýšov: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Zbýšov is situated in a gently rolling landscape south of Čáslav, on the southeastern edge of the Central Bohemian Region. Dense mixed forests reach the municipality from almost all sides; its territory lies along the upper course of the Klejnárka River.
Landscape and Water
There are two beaches at Zbýšovský rybník: a southern one below the municipal office and a northern one by the Dejvid kiosk. Both offer a shallow entry into the water. The pond is primarily used for fishing; swimming is also possible, but at your own risk and responsibility. The historic pond system in Zbýšov included, in addition to Zbýšovský rybník, the ponds Punčoška, Střevíček, and Pilský.
Autokemp Zbýšov offers overnight stays in cabins or tents for family recreation, school trips, sports courses, and various meetings and gatherings.
Culture and History
Buildings No. 1 and 3 of the former farmyard are considered the oldest surviving structures in Zbýšov. The church grounds include a mortuary, a cemetery wall with a gate, and the associated plots; these components are protected as heritage sites. The Church of the Nativity of Saint John the Baptist is a Neo-Romanesque church dating from 1884, built by the Schwarzenberg master builder Marchetti. Historical sources mention the municipality for the first time in 1257.
