Culture and History

The Vrátno windmill is a Dutch-style windmill located 800 metres northeast of Vrátno. It is a protected cultural heritage site; the protection covers the windmill building and the delineated plot of land. At the same time, it is privately owned and is currently not open to the public.

Another special feature is the Vrátno Treasure: it was discovered in 1964 during construction work in the cadastral area of the municipality of Vrátno, in a clay vessel containing medieval coins and a silver signet ring. The entire Vrátno Treasure is kept at the Muzeum Mladoboleslavska. It comprises 474 coins and several unidentifiable fragments. Vrátno Farmstead No. 28 is registered as an immovable cultural monument.
