Uhlířská Lhota: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Uhlířská Lhota already bears its history in its name: it is derived from charcoal kilns.

Culture

The last two charcoal kilns in Uhlířská Lhota were in operation until the beginning of the First World War. Between the two world wars, the cultivation and drying of medicinal herbs was well established in Uhlířská Lhota.

The tradition of the Sjezdy Lhot a Lehot began in Uhlířská Lhota; the first Sjezd took place there during the summer holidays of 1980. At the Sjezdy Lhot a Lehot, the Lhoty take turns hosting the event. Uhlířská Lhota is also home to a modern bell tower made of iron pipes. The Church of Saint Gall is designated as a cultural monument.

Nature

The surroundings of Uhlířská Lhota and Rasochy are suitable for cycling and hiking. The forests around Uhlířská Lhota and Rasochy are known for their abundance of wild forest fruits. In Rasochy, there is an outdoor swimming pool surrounded by mature trees.

Excursions

On a cycling trip a few kilometres beyond Uhlířská Lhota, you can observe the gray horses of the Kladruby nad Labem National Stud.

The Dub Zmrzlých u Čížovky oak is a pedunculate oak planted around 1800 (Quercus robur) and is protected for its aesthetic value and its function as a distinctive landscape landmark.

For public transport connections, PID bus route 535 serves the stops “Uhlířská Lhota”, “Uhlířská Lhota,Rasochy,rozc.” and “Uhlířská Lhota,Rasochy”.
