Toušice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Toušice is home to a stone bridge with five vaulted arches. In the Czech Republic, it is listed as an immovable cultural monument. The Baroque stone bridge dates from the second half of the 17th century or around 1700.

Culture and History

The Trmalova Fortress in Toušice is an archaeological site containing finds and remnants. It is located on a rocky promontory above the Vavřinec stream and is protected on the opposite side by a deep trench carved into the rock.

In the wider regional surroundings of Toušice, Zámek Kačina is located as a castle.

Landscape and Surroundings

Stará Kouřim (Kouřim) is a hill in the immediate vicinity of Toušice. Háj (Svojšice u Kouřimi), which is also classified as a hill, is likewise located nearby.

Horky is a mountain in the wider regional surroundings of Toušice. Hořánck is also located there as a mountain.

Hiking and Cycling

The short, easy Vlčím dolem hiking route leads from Zásmuky to Toušice and takes around 1.5 hours.

The CKH13 cycle route leads from Toušice to Zásmuky along the yellow KČT trail marking, passing around the Toušické prahy and the stone bridge in Toušice. It is easy to cycle.

Water

The Toušické prahy are located on the Vavřinec stream southeast of Toušice and can be reached via the yellow-marked KČT hiking trail no. 6082 between Toušice and Zásmuky. Rare aquatic species live in the pools there, including bullhead, loach, burbot and brown trout.

The descent of the Toušická Cascade is rated WW IV and is intended for experienced canoeists.
