Culture
Týnec Castle preserves a Romanesque rotunda dating from the turn of the 11th century. Its Gothic rectangular tower houses a lookout tower. The Church of Saint Simon and Jude was originally a Gothic building from the 14th century and was later rebuilt in the Baroque style. The ruins of Zbořený Kostelec are freely accessible year-round.
Landscape and Activities
Along the Sázava river promenade, there are slides used for manually launching canoes and rafts, known as “šupny.” The connection between the right and left banks of the Sázava is a three-span suspended wooden truss structure. The central span has a maximum span of 65 meters; the connection is 255 meters long and 2.5 meters wide in total.
Karkulčin háj features an outdoor fitness area with wall bars, horizontal bars, exercise equipment, and climbing elements. Čížov Nature Park protects relatively well-preserved forest ecosystems on a steep, rugged slope at the confluence of the Sázava and Čakovický Stream.
