Javorník U Vlašimi: Holiday Apartments and Houses

To the west of Javorník rises the clearly visible Javornická hůra, a distinctive 583-metre-high hill. Until the beginning of the 19th century, it was barren and unforested, offering views across a landscape several dozen kilometres away.

Landscape and Trails

Several trails connect Javorník with the surrounding landscape. A green-marked hiking trail leads to Javorník and continues through the Černý les forest. A forest path from the Peklo inn leads over the northern foot of Javornická hůra to Javorník. A route from Mnichovice to Javorník runs around the western slope of Javornická hůra; an alternative route from Mnichovice to Javorník leads over the summit of Horka.

Views and Leisure

The Kalamajka lookout tower is open to the public free of charge, is unmanned and can be entered after borrowing a key. The lookout platform is accessible via 117 steps.

The V Markovech recreational area has a small multi-purpose water basin with a slide. In Javorník, the municipal tennis court can be used for recreation.

Culture and History

The Chapel of Saint Ludmila was reconstructed in 1993. Javorník also has a well-maintained memorial to those who fell in both world wars.
