Studený: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Rybníček near Studený is home to rich populations of bog arum (Calla palustris). The area encompasses endangered wetland ecosystems with numerous protected plant and animal species.

Nature

A pond on the road from Petrova Lhota towards Studený serves as a natural outdoor swimming pool.

The Melechov mountain is also located near Studený. In the wider regional area are Mount Ostojovka [Ledeč nad Sázavou-Souboř], Mount Špičák and Mount Velký Blaník.

Culture and history

Around 60 gravestones dating from the 18th century to 1927 have been preserved in the Jewish cemetery in Studený. The cemetery lies approximately 800 metres southeast of the town centre; a field path leads to it from the Studený–Dunice road. It was probably established around 1700.

The former castle site of Studený is closed to the public.

The Želivský Kláštor Monastery and the Svatý Jan Church are located near Studený. In the wider regional area are the Orlík ruins and the Loreta Church.

Getting around

Route 0084 runs from Dolní Kralovice via Šetějovice, Hořice and Studený to Čechtice.
