The first written mention of Vodslivy dates back to 1436.

History

Swedish troops burned Vodslivy down during the Thirty Years’ War; the buildings had to be rebuilt around 1700. A school was probably founded in Vodslivy in 1768, most likely as a result of an order dating from the time of Maria Theresa. The new school building in Vodslivy was completed on 10 October 1863, but the school in Vodslivy was closed in 1947.

On the village square in Vodslivy, next to the monument to those who fell in the First World War, there is a column bell made of red Permian sandstone.
