Smilovice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Smilovice's historical features are particularly evident in the districts of Rejšice and Újezd – in churches, chapels and a statue in the village square. This townscape is complemented by bodies of water, the surrounding landscape and a road network that provides access to the surrounding settlements as well as forest and agricultural areas.

Culture and Townscape

In Rejšice, a district of Smilovice, the Church of St. John of Nepomuk was built between 1730 and 1735; it was last reconstructed in 1885. The Cemetery Chapel of St. Giles in Rejšice has foundations dating from the 14th century and is the preserved remnant of the former church of Rejšice. North of Rejšice, on the road to Kosořice, there is a stone chapel dedicated to Saint Anne.

A statue of Saint John of Nepomuk dating from 1728 stands in the village square of Újezd. It was restored in 2014. The existing urban structure of Rejšice, with the village square and the Church of St. John of Nepomuk as the dominant building, is to be preserved.

Water and Landscape

The Vlkava 4–Smilovice fishing water covers 2.5 hectares in the cadastral area of Smilovice. Rejšický rybník is designated as a functioning local ecological biocorridor.

Local Connections

The existing network of local roads in Smilovice connects the surrounding settlements and provides access to forest and agricultural areas. Small facilities for hiking and cycling tourism are permitted in the Smilovice landscape area.
