Slapy-Nedvezi: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Slapy-Nedvezi combines historic building structures, an organic farm, year-round horseback riding opportunities, and a landscape with hills, mountains, and the Slapy Reservoir. Between the preserved traces of Tvrz Nedvězí and destinations in the nearby and wider surrounding region, a diverse local character emerges.
Culture and History
In the so-called Old Court of Tvrz Nedvězí, Romanesque-Gothic remains have been preserved in cellar rooms beneath newer buildings. Tvrz Nedvězí is an architectural complex whose individual buildings have retained their authentic medieval character. The Tvrz Nedvězí complex, as well as the farm buildings and surroundings, were reconstructed in 1995 and 1996; an organic farm was also established as part of this work.
The cultural surroundings also include Konopiště, a château in the vicinity of Nedvězí, as well as several destinations in the wider surrounding region: Karlštejn is a castle, Malá Svatá Hora is a church, and Práče is a fortress.
Horses and Events
At Grand Farma Michael in Nedvězí, horseback rides in English and Western styles are offered year-round. Children can take part in rides around the farm at Grand Farma Michael in Nedvězí under the supervision of an experienced guide, or train on the lunge.
Grand Farma Michael is normally not open to the public; visits are possible when a public event is being held there. During the Easter weekend in 2026 at Grand Farma Michael, traditional Easter workshops for children and adults were held, including making Easter wreaths.
Landscape and Surroundings
Kolátov [Krňany-Teletín] is a hill in the vicinity of Nedvěží. Jáchym and Vesely are mountains in the vicinity of Nedvěží, while Točna is a mountain in the wider surrounding region of Nedvěží.
Rabyňská vyhlídka is located near Nová Rabyně and offers a view of the Slapy Reservoir; refreshments are also available there. The Slapy Reservoir lies approximately 40 km south of Prague on the Vltava River, at the site of the former Svatojánské proudy.
The access road to Grand Farma Michael leads between enclosures with Aberdeen Angus cattle, sheep, and horses to Tvrz Nedvězí.
