The 19D Posázavská cycling route runs through Chrást nad Sázavou along a section from Na Průhonu towards Krhanice. The Chrást–Týnec cycle path is designated along its entire length for shared use by pedestrians and cyclists and measures 1,010 metres.

The Podělusy–Chrást weir has a boat passage on the right and a fish ladder on the left. It is navigable for water sports.

Culture and history

The Church of St Catherine in Chrást nad Sázavou was originally a Gothic church from the first half of the 14th century. It was rebuilt in 1888–1889; during the reconstruction, the nave was raised and a tower was erected.

On a hill above the Čerčany–Praha-Braník railway line stands the memorial to the victims of the First World War in Chrást nad Sázavou. It was created on the initiative of legionnaire Antonín Štěpán and the local unit of the Czechoslovak Socialist Party. The memorial is a granite pylon bearing the inscription “To those who fell and died, 1914–1918”.
