Miřetice: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Miřetice is situated on a hill shaped by Vršek Hill; from there, Javornická hůra and Židův kopec are visible. The village lies in the Vlašimská pahorkatina, the Vlašim Upland.

Velký Blaník, a mountain, is located near Miřetice. In the immediate vicinity are Na Vršku [Miřetice], a hill, Horka [Miřetice], a hill, and Židův kopec [Zdislavice u Vlašimi], a hill. Miřetice has bus connections to Vlašim, Benešov, Pelhřimov, and Prague.

History and culture

The settlement was later called Čechany; the Vladyka himself later used the byname Čechan z Miřetic. For the years 1468 to 1550, the Kmetí dvůr estate is documented in Miřetice; in 1550, it was divided into four smaller farms.

The musician Karel Filip, who came from Miřetice, worked as a professor of music in Budapest. The Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk in Miřetice dates from 1852 and has a bell tower.
