Předboj: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Předboj combines historical monuments, archaeological traces, and geological features. The town reveals its past through monuments and chapels as well as through finds from the hillfort period and fossil-rich layers dating from the Cretaceous period.
Culture and History
The Hus Memorial was erected in 1915 to mark the 500th anniversary of the burning of Jan Hus. In 2021, a new relief featuring a portrait of Jan Hus was installed there after the original relief was stolen in 2015.
The Chapel is a niche chapel on the outskirts of Předboj in the direction of Prague and dates from around 1800. The Cross was erected in 1864 immediately next to the Bell Tower. Both were completely restored in 2021 as part of the park's redesign; a new bell was also installed in the Bell Tower.
The Fortress in Předboj was probably built in the 14th century and was first mentioned in writing in 1383. Since 1958, it has been registered as a cultural monument under number 46191/2-4143. The last remains of the Fortress were destroyed in 1996 during the reconstruction of the buildings of the former manor farm. Předboj is classified as an important archaeological site in category ÚAN I. Archaeological finds in the western part of Předboj, beside a stream flowing into the town, and near the former Fortress provide evidence of settlement as early as the hillfort period.

A fossil found in the cadastral area of Předboj is estimated to be 88 million years old. The fossil-rich Korycany Formation in Předboj was formed from deposits of a former shallow sea during the Cretaceous period.
