Mochov: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Mochov offers archaeological evidence from many periods. The archaeological area of Mochov encompasses the Bronze Age, the Knovíz and Štítary cultures, as well as periods from the Middle Ages to the modern era. An archaeological burial site dating from the Migration Period (5th–6th century AD) was discovered at the archaeological site of Mochov.

Culture

The Gothic Church of St Bartholomew in Mochov was built in the second half of the 14th century on the site of an earlier chapel and has been documented as a parish church since 1352. A Gothic chapel on the north side of the presbytery served as a sacristy at the beginning of the 20th century. The main altar dates from 1695; its front, the antependium, is decorated with carved ornaments.

A Jan Hus monument by the artist Josef Škoda has stood in Mochov Square since 1928. The Jan Hus monument in Mochov includes a memorial plaque commemorating those who fell in both world wars.

Leisure

The Na Hrázce leisure centre in Mochov is intended for sports, games and recreation. The traditional “Pálení čarodějnic” festival, featuring live music, children’s Zumba, children’s competitions, witch-slime making, airbrush tattoos, a workshop for making giant soap bubbles, food and the lighting of a witch’s bonfire, was scheduled to take place in Mochov on 30 April 2026.

Bus route 662 connects Čelákovice, Mochov, Český Brod and Kouřim in both directions.
