Okřesaneč: Vacation Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Church of St. Bartholomew in Okřesaneč is a late Romanesque building with several Gothic elements and a Renaissance tower.

Culture and History

It was first mentioned in 1352. The protected complex of this church includes an ossuary, an enclosing wall with gates, and the associated grounds. The church originally had two bells, one from 1519 and one from 1638. It stands east of Okřesaneč on the road to Nesvačily and Liteň.

Outside Okřesaneč, on the left side of the road to Golčův Jeníkov, stands the former roadside inn. The complex of the former roadside inn consists of a residential building with an inn, an agricultural building, and enclosing walls with gates. A monument to the victims of the First and Second World Wars stands in the village square near the cemetery.

Local Character

The older part of Okřesaneč lies along and stretches along the Vejrovka stream.

Traditions and Events

At the end of the carnival season, Okřesaneč hosts a traditional masked procession that ends with a dance celebration. Registration for the FichtlCup is possible directly on race day or in advance.
