Kácov: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
In the centre of Kácov, above the Sázava, stands Kácov Renaissance-Baroque Chateau. It is currently closed to the public due to extensive reconstruction work.
Culture and History
The Kácov theatre curtain was created in 1863 for an amateur theatre and depicts a contemporary view of the town. The Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary in Kácov was originally a Gothic building.
During a guided tour of Kácov Brewery, which must be booked in advance, visitors can learn about the traditional production of Czech beer in a small brewery. Due to its cellars, Kácov Brewery is listed as a technical monument; its first mention is dated to 1457.
Trails and Landscape
The Okolím Kácova educational trail is a circular route starting in Kácov, with ten stops.
Pustý Hrad is located near Kácov on the left bank of the river, about a quarter of an hour upstream from the town on a raised spur. Pustý Hrad is not signposted on site and must be searched for; the easiest access for visitors leads directly along the left bank of the Sázava.
