Narysov: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Narysov is situated on the western slope of Mount Vojna and was established on the site of an old mining settlement. The first written record dates from 1379; at that time, the place was known as Narissyrow.

History

Lead-bearing silver ores and iron ores have been mined around Narysov since the Middle Ages. Nearby is the Památník Vojna Lešetice memorial at the foot of Mount Vojna, on the boundary of the cadastral areas of Lazsko, Lešetice and Zavržice. The exhibitions cover persecution after February 1948, the anti-communist resistance and the history of uranium mining.

The chapel of Narysov was built in 1899. It stands on the village green between two mature trees and is listed as a protected heritage site.

Nature and trails

Rybník Dolejší is one of the best-known ponds in the area around Narysov. Its surroundings are suitable for observing waterfowl and other fauna. Accessible paths around the ponds near Narysov offer opportunities for walks.

Traditions and events

Narysov regularly hosts the fire brigade sports competition “O putovní pohár SDH Narysov”. The traditional Pálení čarodějnic in Narysov included decorating the maypole, roasting sausages and lighting a bonfire.

The nearest railway connection to Narysov is at Příbram railway station on ČD line 200 between Zdice, Písek and Protivín.
