Milovice: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The Milovice Nature Reserve is part of the European protected area Milovice-Mladá and preserves open steppes with rare plants and animals.

Nature and landscape

The hills of Kateřina [Milovice nad Labem] and (Pozorovatelny) [Milovice nad Labem] are located in the immediate vicinity of Milovice. The hills of (Jalovčí) [Milovice-Benátecká Vrutice] and Na Čilečku [Straky] are also located in the surroundings of Milovice.

History and culture

The Museum of the Milovice Military Training Area presents the history of the former Mladá military district and its influence on the lives of the local population. Its exhibition includes military technology, uniforms, equipment, photographs and other artefacts.

In 1915 and 1916, prisoners of war from the Russian part of Poland created unique wall paintings with elements of Art Nouveau and Eastern folk art in the Church of St Catherine of Alexandria in Milovice. On 16 July 2003, the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic declared the Church of St Catherine in Milovice a cultural monument.

The International Military Cemetery in Milovice, including a memorial hall with an exhibition, is open to the public. At the Milovice Tankodrom, the “Garáž” Museum of Military Technology features more than 80 exhibits, including military tracked and wheeled vehicles, military cannons, veteran vehicles and motorcycles. The Church of U Svatého Vojtěcha is also located in the wider regional area around Milovice.

Experiences

Mirakulum Park in Milovice is a 12-hectare family park with imaginative play features. The park includes a forest playground, huge trampolines and swings, rope centres, climbing frames, a petting zoo and an amphitheatre.
