Lázně Toušeň: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The Slatinné lázně Toušeň spa was founded in 1868 by Jan Králík at a mineral spring containing iron. In 1889, peat wraps and peat baths were added to its range of treatments; they are still considered the most important treatment there and are administered in practically the same way.

History and architectural heritage

At the eastern edge of Lázně Toušeň lie the archaeological remains of Hradiště Na Hradišti, situated on a low spur above a former arm of the Elbe. On the eastern side, the site is bounded by a ditch. The Neo-Gothic Chapel of Saint Florian was built in 1823 on the site of a wooden bell tower.

Cycling and hiking trails

Lázně Toušeň lies at the intersection of cycling routes 241 and 0019, which are also designated as 7019 on some maps. The main cycling route 241 crosses the Elbe there via a footbridge and cycle bridge.

A blue-marked hiking trail connects Královice (Brandýs) (3 km), Čelákovice (3 km), Káraný via the footbridge (1.5 km), and Brandýs n/L (5 km). A yellow-marked hiking trail leads across the footbridge over the Elbe to Káraný (1.5 km), and continues via sv. Václav (5.5 km) to Lysá nad Labem (11 km).

Getting there

Lázně Toušeň can be reached by train with a change in Čelákovice. By bus, the town can be reached from the Prague metro stations Černý Most or Vysočanská with a change in Brandýs nad Labem.
