Konojedy: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Konojedy combines Baroque architectural heritage with a distinctive forest landscape: west of Konojedy, extensive mixed forests merge seamlessly into the protected Voděradské bučiny area. The area is a national nature reserve; visitors are restricted to marked trails there.

Culture

The Church of Saint Wenceslas in Konojedy is a protected late Baroque cultural monument. The Baroque building was constructed from 1766 to 1777 and consecrated on January 10, 1778. The Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk, built in 1838, is also part of the local history and is an important historic monument of Konojedy. A memorial stone commemorates Prince Jan Lichtenstein and is one of the historically significant monuments of the village.

Nature

Below Konojedy, the Konojedský potok stream runs along the cadastral boundary through the Losi valley to the Jevanský potok stream. The Zlodějka spring in the Čtrnáctka forest is considered a never-failing spring.

Getting Around

The “Loreta Praha – Křemešník” pilgrimage cycling route passes through Konojedy along Cycle Route 1. PID bus line 659 serves the “Konojedy”, “Konojedy,pila” and “Konojedy,Klíče” stops.

The surrounding area of Konojedy includes the “Na Marjánce” hill near Zvánovice, Obícka hill near Lhotky u Malotic, Kamenka hill near Horní Kruty-Újezdec and Vysoký les hill near Klokočná. In the wider regional surroundings of Konojedy are Konopiště Castle, Práče Fortress and the Loreta Church.
