Hvězdonice lies on the left bank of the Sázava. At Hvězdonice, you can swim in the Sázava, while the forests around the village are used for mushroom picking.

Nature

The hills of Vepří (Přestavlky u Čerčan), Meduná (Vranovská Lhota) and Horka (Chocerady-Vestec) are located in the vicinity of Hvězdonice. The wider surrounding region is home to Mount Žebrák, Práče Fort and the Loreta Church.

Trails

A forest path approximately 1.5 km long leads from Hvězdonice to Chocerady. In the 19th century, this path was part of the park of Komorní Hrádek.

The 4.8 km hiking trail from Hvězdonice to Zlenice is suitable for prams, children, balance bikes and bicycles and is almost entirely flat. It starts at Hvězdonice railway station; it is possible to arrive by train, and parking is available in the side streets near the station.

Hvězdonice is also a waypoint on the 97.2 km-long Posázavská Cycle Route 19.

Culture and Landscape

The riverside location of Hvězdonice connects with destinations in the wider surrounding region, including the forest path to Chocerady, the 19th-century park of Komorní Hrádek, Práče Fort and the Loreta Church.
