The marked regional cycle route No. 241 runs through Horní Bukovina. The Zábrdka stream flows through the village, while the Mimřina viewpoint offers views of Bezděz and Drábské světničky.

Nature and views

Čertovina [Mnichovo Hradiště-Sychrov], a hill, is located in the immediate vicinity of Horní Bukovina. The mountains Lysá, Velká Buková and Malá Buková are also located in the surrounding area.

History and village character

Kristián Waldštejn had the dilapidated manor buildings of the farm rebuilt in 1834; the farm was subsequently renamed “Kristiánov” in his honour. The Kristiánov agricultural farm complex is located in Horní Bukovina. A circular village green can also be found in the village.

Culture

The Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk is located in Horní Bukovina. In the wider regional area are Starý Berštejn, a ruin, as well as Valdštejn, a church, and the Chapel of the Most Holy Trinity, also a church.

Horse riding

Jízdárna Žák in Horní Bukovina is open to beginners, advanced riders and groups. It has stables as well as an indoor riding arena and an outdoor riding arena.
