The war memorial in Dvory is a Cubist work featuring slanting lines, triangular shapes and faceted surfaces. Part of the former pond was transformed into a park with magnificent lime trees surrounding the war memorial.

Culture

In Veleliby stands the listed complex of St Wenceslas Church. It comprises the church, the enclosing wall with its fence, gates and statues of saints, as well as the associated plots of land.

The present-day St Wenceslas Church in Veleliby was built between 1876 and 1878 in the Neo-Romanesque style by the builders M. and J. Červený from Nymburk, replacing the former Church of St Giles, which had been demolished around 1874. It is a Neo-Romanesque cemetery church dating from the 1870s. The churchyard contains a remarkable Art Nouveau tomb of the Mazánek family, a work by E. Kodet from 1912.

Zdonín Chateau is located in Veleliby, a district of Dvory. The Neo-Renaissance building dates from 1903. It can be reached on foot, by bicycle or by car, but it is not open to visitors.

At Veleliby railway station, tickets are sold on the train because the station does not offer ticketing facilities.
