The medieval and modern-era village center of Druhlice is registered as an area with archaeological finds.

History

The first surviving written mention of Druhlice comes from a document issued in 1325 during the reign of King John of Luxembourg. A second document from 1326, issued by John of Luxembourg, lists Druhlice under the historical spelling Drahlice (Drahlicz). The name Druhlice probably derives from the personal names Druhla or Druhl.

Village Life

A chapel dedicated to Saint Anthony of Padua stands beside the pond on the village green in Druhlice. Children's Day in Druhlice includes tasks and competitions for children, as well as a raffle, prizes, gifts, and refreshments. The event takes place every year on the playground next to the fire station.

The mountains of Velký Chlum, Velká Leč, Aglaia, and Kuchyňka are located in the surroundings of Druhlice.

A red-marked hiking trail runs through the municipality of Daleké Dušníky, along which you can hike southeast to Nečín or north toward Stará Huť or Dobříš.
