Bohutín: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Bohutín combines a nature trail through the town with a signposted cycle route and paths into the Brdy Mountains. The Fabiánova naučná stezka leads through Bohutín, points out local sights and introduces tourists and cyclists to the region’s distinctive landscape features.

Nature

The signposted Příbram–Bohutín cycle route no. 302a runs through Bohutín. Bohutín also provides routes for cyclists and pedestrians into the Brdy Mountains. Vysokopecký rybník also serves as a swimming area.

History

Ores containing silver were processed in the Březová-Hory ore district, with the polymetallic deposits of Březové Hory and Bohutín, at least as early as the 13th century.

The Muzeum mikroregionu Bohutínska is located on the grounds of the former Řimbaba mine. The Rudolfka lookout tower stands on the former headframe of a mine in Bohutín, is 40 m high and is climbed via a transparent spiral staircase. The Řimbabská štola follows the so-called Hlavní Řimbabská žíla for approximately 300 m. Visits to the underground Řimbabská štola must always be booked in advance.

Culture

After a fire in 1950, the Church of Saint Mary Magdalene was rebuilt in its original pseudo-Gothic form and consecrated again. To this day, the pilgrimage to Saint Mary Magdalene is celebrated on the first Sunday after 22 July.

Events

At the third edition of Bohutínské pstruhobraní on 13 April, free fishing and an accompanying programme for children were scheduled at the fire pond or swimming pool in Bohutín from 13:00 to 14:00.
