Radíč: Holiday Apartments and Houses

After the former Gothic knight's castle was partially destroyed by fire, Radíč Chateau was rebuilt as a single-storey early Baroque chateau by Karel Leopold Henegk in the second half of the 17th century.
Culture
Radíč Chateau is closed year-round; visits are only possible during specially announced events. Since 2010, it has been opened to the public for social events and weddings.
A Baroque hall is located on the first floor of the east wing. Much of the stucco decoration and the 17th-century paintings inside have survived to this day.
The Chapel of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary was built east of Radíč Chateau in 1683. It is dedicated to the cult of the Black Madonna, who is also identified with the Madonna of Einsiedeln. Two statues of saints stand in front of the chapel: one of Saint Vitus and one of Saint John of Nepomuk. Both date from 1713 and were created in the workshop of Jan Brokoff.
History
Bernard Bolzano stayed at Radíč Chateau from 1820 to 1830, when it belonged to JUDr. František Pistl; he hid there to escape persecution by the Austrian authorities.
The historic farmyard at Radíč Chateau includes a barn, two granaries, the former brewery, a coach house, the enclosing wall closing off the courtyard to the east, and stable buildings. The buildings date from the Baroque period of the 17th century and from the second half of the 19th century.
North of Radíč lies the ruins of Kozí Hřbet Castle, surrounded by the Mastník stream.
Landscape and Trails
Radíč lies in the hilly landscape of the Sedlčansko region, characterised by ponds, streams, meadows and forests. A blue-marked and a yellow-marked hiking trail pass through Radíč. Cycle Route 8132 also runs through Radíč on its route between Vojkov and Křepenice.
