Drisy: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Dřísy Forest Educational Trail is 1.3 km long and has 10 stations with 12 forestry-related features. It begins at the edge of the forest behind the football pitch. At Kozí plácek, there is a rest area for relaxing or having a refreshment.

Dřísy has bus connections to Prague and Stará Boleslav, as well as a train connection to Mělník.

Nature and Trails

The area along the historic connection to the Svatováclavská Vineyard invites visitors to go walking and cycling and offers beautiful nature, peace and quiet, as well as unobstructed views of the surrounding countryside.

Culture

The Chapel of the Beheading of Saint John the Baptist is currently designated a national cultural monument. The restoration work was completed in 2002, and the chapel was reconsecrated that year. It is a central octagonal chapel with a mansard roof and an octagonal copper-clad lantern.

The Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk stands in the centre of Dřísy and has a brick tower dating from 1837. The statue of Saint Wenceslas associated with Dřísy depicts the saint crushing grapes with a wooden pestle in a wooden vat. It is listed in the Central Register of Cultural Monuments.

A historic pilgrimage route connects the niche chapel of Saint Ludmila with the Baroque Chapel of the Beheading of Saint John the Baptist; it then continues to this chapel. The municipality’s aim was to restore the historic connection to the Svatováclavská Vineyard: it leads from the statue of Saint Wenceslas via the niche chapel of Saint Ludmila to the Baroque Chapel of the Beheading of Saint John the Baptist at the foot of Cecemín.

Viticulture

The Svatováclavská Vineyard is located in the cadastral area of Dřísy. To this day, the vineyard in Dřísy is called Svatováclavská, after Saint Wenceslas.
