Cítov: Holiday Apartments and Houses

Cítov is considered one of the access routes to nearby Říp, a symbol of Czech national history. At the same time, the village is located in the flat Polabská nížina lowland.

Culture and History

The Church of St. Linhart preserves an apse, a stone sanctuary, a pointed Gothic arch and parts of its original Romanesque masonry. The historical landmarks in the village also include the Marian Column, which dates from 1713 and is a historical monument maintained by the municipality. The statue of Saint John of Nepomuk in Cítov is likewise a historical monument maintained by the municipality.

Activities

The Cítov Tennis Club has two clay tennis courts, a practice wall and a multi-purpose court with a synthetic surface for various ball sports. A new sports complex with artificial turf and perimeter boards was built at the football stadium. The public multi-purpose sports field in Cítov is intended for hockey, field hockey and floorball. Refreshments are available at Cítov swimming pool throughout its operating hours; the water quality is checked regularly.

Customs and Traditions

The Cítov Masopust procession follows a walking route of approximately 3.8 kilometres through the municipality and includes a music-accompanied parade with traditional and non-traditional Masopust masks. Residents and children can join the procession.
