Zlosyn: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The dominant building complex in Zlosyň is a Baroque granary. The centre of the village was formed by a village square with a pond.

Culture and History

Following a presumed resettlement, a Baroque estate with a granary was established in Zlosyň. A chapel was built in 1942 on the site of a monument beneath which the remains of Russian soldiers from 1913 had been buried. Zlosyň also has a monument commemorating those who fell in both world wars.

Landscape and Nature

Zlosyň lies at the foot of Dřínovský vrch, which was used as a hillfort in prehistoric times. The surrounding area of Zlosyň also includes Dřínovský vrch and the Dřínovská stráň Nature Reserve.

The pond in Zlosyň is fed by groundwater from Dřínovský vrch and by rainwater flowing over the surface. Zlosyňský háj is a contiguous forest area consisting predominantly of mixed, pine and beech stands and is considered the highest-quality contiguous forest area in the region. In the wider surroundings of Kralupy nad Vltavou, Zlosyňský háj is one of the public outdoor areas with benches and places to rest.

Cycling Routes and Excursions

Local recreational opportunities in Zlosyň include a network of flat cycling paths. The 55-km cycling tour “Mezi řekami nejen za zvonicemi” is listed as taking from three hours to a full day and is suitable for mountain bikes, gravel bikes and trekking bikes. The tour passes through Zlosyň and the Zlosyňský háj.

The state-owned Veltrusy Château with its château park is located in the surrounding area of Zlosyň.

Transport and Events

The D8 motorway runs through the cadastral area of Zlosyň. Lines 470 and 372 of the Prague Integrated Transport System stop in Zlosyň.

In 2026, monthly obedience training sessions with Honza Farkač are scheduled at the training ground of ZKO 294 Zlosyň; the sessions are open to everyone upon prior registration.
