Cerhenice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Cerhenice combines sacred buildings, an educational trail and railway technology with a landscape featuring several mountains and hills. Local sights include the Baroque church and wooden observation towers.
Culture
The Baroque Church of St John of Nepomuk in Cerhenice was built in 1734–1735. It is listed in the Central Register of Immovable Cultural Monuments of the Czech Republic under number 21477/2–3423. The village landscape also includes the late Baroque niche chapel of the Virgin Mary from 1800. The chapel contains a polychrome relief of the Virgin Mary of Stará Boleslav made of red Nučice sandstone.
Educational Trail and Observation Towers
The Cerhenice Educational Trail begins and ends in the square in the centre of Cerhenice. It is 6 kilometres long and includes 11 stations with information boards. Other local facilities include the Cerhenice observation towers: two wooden towers that were ceremonially opened to the public on 26 June 2015, both of which are 7 metres high.
Landscape
The Hořánck mountain is located near Cerhenice. The Horky mountain is located in the wider regional surroundings. Closer to Cerhenice are the Na Větrníku hill and the hill near Dobřichov.
Technology and Railways
The railway test circuit of Cerhenice, Velim and Sokoleč is a railway facility unique in Europe. The large test circuit is also located at the VUZ Velim test centre. It is 13.276 kilometres long and located at Za Dráhou 373, 281 02 Cerhenice.
